Pothula Swine Breeds, was born out of the vision to revolutionize piggery using the latest advancements in agriculture and animal husbandry. Our goal is to not only raise high-quality pigs but also to become a hub for innovation in feed manufacturing and meat processing. With a strong focus on animal welfare, biosecurity, and sustainable practices, we are paving the way for a smarter, cleaner, and more productive pig farming ecosystem.
Our farm is located in Satya Sai Dt, Andhra Pradesh, spread across 50 acres of fertile land dedicated to both crop cultivation and livestock farming. Coming from a proud agricultural lineage, our ancestors were deeply involved in farming and animal husbandry. Agriculture is in our DNA—we have inherited not just land, but also the wisdom and passion for farming that runs through generations.
Though the Pothula family is now well-represented in the medical field with many doctors, our love for the land has remained strong. We are committed to continuing the agricultural legacy of our forefathers by blending traditional knowledge with modern practices.
Our farm grows a variety of crops such as maize, groundnut, and pomegranate, and we also rear sheep and pigs as part of our livestock initiatives. We are particularly focused on piggery farming, with future plans to explore feed manufacturing and meat export.
Water is a major challenge in our drought-prone area, but we’ve taken proactive steps to manage it efficiently. Our farm is supported by a large farm pond and a nearby lake, and we've implemented drip irrigation systems to ensure sustainable water use throughout the year.
Our vision extends beyond our land—we aim to inspire and guide young, educated individuals to take up modern farming. Agriculture should be a field for the informed, not just for those with no other options. We welcome young minds and aspiring farmers to visit our farm, learn from our experiences, and adopt innovative, sustainable methods to transform the future of agriculture.
